Pompeii

Ciao Tutti,

We're on the bus now on our way to Sorrento from Pompeii.

We started this morning by leaving IES at 7:45 AM and heading to Pompeii. We arrived around 12:30 PM and were immediately taken to a school sponsored lunch. They served us pasta with some type of fish sauce, lemon chicken, and a hazelnut vanilla cake. It was really good.

Our tour guide met us at our restaurant and took us on a 2.5 hour tour of the ruins of Pompeii. Talk about creepy. We saw the gladiator's living quarters, the theater for comedies and dramas, a rich person's house, a brothel, a few petrified bodies (three people and a dog), and Mount Vesuvius. It was really cool.

After, we went souvenir shopping and I had a glass of fresh orange juice. It was really good.
